The area is rich in cultural activities, most of them bearing the mark of the specific local traditions. Here takes place annually the ceramics and pottery fairs and the best known is The Potters Fair “The Cock of Horezu”, held on the Stejari Plateau, which lasts three days. Other events of area are: The folk festival “The round-dance of the folk costumes”, held annually in the Pietrari village and in September is held “The Gold Belt” at Barbatesti. In the Bistrita village (common Costesti) is organized The Gypsy International Fair and the annual festival of the beekeepers “The Golden Honeycomb” is organized in Tomsani.
